Diesire competition

The following cards on my blog using embossing folders are for the Diesire competition from Crafters Companion.

Light and fun for these cards. For the balloon card I used the clouds embossing folder. I looked at the folder and the sentiment just came to me, so that was the theme of this design. I outlined the large cloud with quicky glue, then embossing with WOW metallic silver powder to give the 'silver' lining. I die cut some spellbinders circles to make some balloons with bakers twine for string. Finished off with some string and a button.

The flower card was made using the large flower embossing folder as well as the thank you sentiment embossing folder. I wanted a fun and colourful theme for this card. Pink is always a favourite of mine. I cut out the large daisy to let the bright pink backing show through. I added a layered paper flower attached with a simple brad to one of the embossed flowers. I finished this card with buttons for flower centres and some die cut spellbinders flourishes and roses to finish. The spiky flowers were highlighted with WOW pink embossing glitter to add some light sparkle.

Diesire cards part two

A little bit of nature for these designs. I used the bark embossing folder for the owl card. The owl was embossed in black embossing powder while the branch and leaves were embossed in olive and copper WOW embossing powders. I coloured the image with Distress Markers from Tim Holtz.

The Ivy embossing folder is from Sheena Douglas. I inked the embossing folder with crushed olive distress ink, ran it through as normal. I the followed the line of the embossed ivy with a quicky glue pen, then covered with olive WOW embossing powder. I coloured the image with shabby shutters, peeled paint, forest moss and crushed olive distress markers. Finishing with a simple ribbon and bow.

Diesire cards part one

Something for the men here. I have used the cogs embossing folder in two very different styles and colour ways. The map card uses distress inks and an Indigo Blu map stamp with the cogs in cordinations card stock in the background. The little charm on the map and ribbon was created from a Do Crafts clock stamp that I thought looked like an old fashion compass. I stamped it on to shrink plastic coloured with distress inks, shrunk to form a little charm to embellish.

The Black and White card was made using the cogs embossing folder again. I used the black whit wash cordinations cars stock which gives a totally different look. It's very different. I embellished with a simple piece of black ribbon and a few buttons to give it a funky feel to the design. I finished with a general greeting that will fit a number of occasions.

Mothers Day card for my Mother in Law

This card is different to my normal style. I found this background stamp. Ive had it over a year and never even opened it. I chalanged my self to use a new stamp and try something different. I used WOW embossing powder in Black for the background and the outline of the butterflies and the inside image. The daisy image is from Little Claire's mothly stamp club from last month.

Stamp Adicts Design Team final part

Stamp Adicts Design Team part two

My kids infomed me I was loosing my mind that rabbits don't have wings or play guitar. I was speachless LOL he he

First of my Stamp Adicts Design Team Cards

These are the first of my cards for the Stamp Adicts Design Team. I was honoured and thrilled to bits to have been selected to be a guest designer. These cards were shown on Create and Craft TV. I was sooo excited.

Joanna Sheen

This was an anniversary card for my mother and father in law. Made using the Jane Shasky CD ROM from Joanna Sheen.

Dotty Baby

A new baby card using the dotty Darice embossing folder. This has to be one of the most usfull embossing folders ever. I love it. I always go back to this one. I never tire of those lovely little dots when they are all sanded or inked over.
